I found a free little app that can be very helpfull for getting a surprisingly acurate BPM. You can load a whole directory of audio files and it goes through all the files and calculates the bpm. You can then save it as a text file or print it out. I was surprised how accurate this actually was.

Hope it is helpfull to some of you struggling with warping. After useing the analyzer, loading into ableton, then using Chris Cowie's warping method of right to left ( http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11736 ) I usually only had to move one marker towards the end of the track slightly..if at all..as long as the track follows a fairly standard dance track equation of course.
