Hello everyone that can help out. Since last year I upgraded to High Sierra, didn't feel like upgrading since I can no longer update any further. Started to notice strange stuff, eventually last year my external hard drive crashed (not sure if it was formated osx journaled or NTFS): failed to mount..dies. I accidently pulled the wrong usb drive after ejecting. my computer didn't want to shutdown after that, had to brute force it. Completly removed old NTFS apps such as I believe I had old versions of Tuxera/paragon/segate ntfs. Had a hard time trying find files through spotlight search, fixed it eventually. I believe segate ntfs mounting app in Finder made my icons sliced apperanced, which I found irritating, fixed it.
okay now in 2020, in isolation have very little money, a good amount of groceries.
Deleted old hard drive converted to exfat (from mac) send it into Bootcamp, formated hard drive to NTFS. Tested a small handfull of data files (jpg, png, mov, psd, pdf, img, doc, etc). Had a hard time ejecting usb drives, weird experience: not the best solution. Booted up through mac mounted usb drive and checked thinking my files are not able to open view at all or gone forever, error message. Went back into windows and my files were just fine, nothing gone.
Did anyone run into the same issues as me, your solutions? What's your solution to NTFS read and write? Is their any cons with exfat. Also am I in the right thread or where should I post this?
The more I look into Paragon makes me weary of their software cause it is linked towards Russia plus China. Years ago I had NTFS-3G worked fine back then, which is now Tuxera. I just can't purchase it right now or if its any good especially on High Sierra?
Windows solution: open up device manager select drive name 'uninstall' to eject drive.
Windows 10 message: please close windows and app before ejecting drive ('problem ejecting usb mass storage device')
Mac OSX Message: Photos or video can't open ('item 'earth_landscapes.jpg' is used by mac os and can't be opened')
Possibly the best solution is formatting some usb drives to exfat for windows and others osx journaled.
I work on Both Mac and windows 10 Pro: cause of software work.
iMac specs: High Sierra v10.13.6 mid 2011 20gb, AMD 512 mb.. yeah I know I need a new computer
NTFS Apps: Mounty (v1.9 (13)), OSX FUSE (v3.10.2).
Windows10pro external drive on imac

NTFS HDD USB CASE unable to connect on MAC OSX

i'm french and sorry for my english...
I have buy TUXERA NTFS v2015.1
When i plug my ZALMAN VE350 HDD case on my MACBOOK 13' late 2009 with OSX El Capitan v 10.11.2 TUXERA return me an error message :

Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disk4s1
at /Volumes/iPC services_500Go because the following problem occurred:
Aligned I/O enabled.
CBCIO enabled.
Failed to read last sector (976766974): Invalid argument
HINTS: Either the volume is a RAID/LDM but it wasn't setup yet,
or it was not setup correctly (e.g. by not using mdadm --build ..),
or a wrong device is tried to be mounted,
or the partition table is corrupt (partition is smaller than NTFS),
or the NTFS boot sector is corrupt (NTFS size is not valid).
Failed to mount '/dev/rdisk4s1': Invalid argument
The device '/dev/rdisk4s1' doesn't seem to have a valid NTFS.
Maybe the wrong device is used? Or the whole disk instead of a
partition (e.g. /dev/sda, not /dev/sda1)? Or the other way around?

but when i connect my HDD case on another PC with Windows 7, there work perfectly.
I have try with the TUXERA disk manager, TUXERA found the ZALMAN VE350 interface with partition named : 'iPC services_500Go',
i select the partition and i click on 'MOUNT'. After that i have another error message :

Tuxera NTFS for Mac is a commercial NTFS driver developed from the popular open-source NTFS-3G driver. Which is a natural part of all major Linux distributions? You can go to Apple Menu System Preferences, click Tuxera NTFS, and then click Uninstall Tuxera NTFS button to start the removal.
